Parent's Corner

Kevin and Amanda Starnes

In July of 2016, our family was in search of new care for our sons which were 4-years-old and 3-months-old at the time. We had been at another facility, but they were not going to have a space in the pre-K classroom for our oldest son. We were sad and a bit frazzled at the thought of having to find somewhere else we felt safe enough to leave our boys.

We toured Tabernacle and instantly fell in love!  Our oldest son thrived in the K4 classroom and was practically reading sight words and basic sentences by the end of the year. Our youngest son was loved and adored each and everyday in the infants class. And we LOVED getting the daily pictures of their day through Tadpoles.

As our oldest son entered kindergarten at public school, the drive from our home to daycare and to that school became a long part of our day, both morning and afternoon.  We felt we needed to make a very difficult decision to move our youngest to a daycare that was close to our other son’s school.  Within months, I knew in my heart that the decision to move our toddler from Tabernacle was not the right one.  The best thing for our family was to move back to Tabernacle, despite the much longer commute. We are now graduating that youngest baby from pre-K.  Another success story!

The education, love, discipline, and joy that our boys experienced at Tabernacle were superior.  Mr.Tony, Mrs. Sharon, and the entire devoted staff at Tabernacle make it a standout in comparison to other daycare centers.  It is more than just a daycare!  They are an ingrained part of our family’s village and have helped us instill in our boys amazing qualities. We are forever grateful that we have been able to call Tabernacle our family for the past 5 years!
